Director Biography - Tim Domsky

Markus Lerchbaum is a 22-year-old filmmaker from Vienna. From 2016 - 2019 he studied "Multimedia Art" at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg, Austria. He developed, produced, directed and edited several fictional short films during his studies. In 2017, he spent a semester abroad at the EWHA Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. One year later, he assisted award-winning Pakistani director Sabiha Sumar and spent four months in Karachi, Pakistan. In 2019, they collaborated on the documentary "The Culture of the Kalash" commissioned by the German broadcasting channel "arte". It was filmed in Pakistan along with another documentary called "Motorcycle Woman" commissioned by "3sat". Back in Austria, he continues working and collaborating on documentary projects together with Sabiha and started studying political science. He is also part of the collective "Mædusa" which seeks to create unique commercials for small and local companies with a sustainable approach.
